What does ‘Power’ and ‘Ready’ lights mean?
When ‘Power’ light is on, it indicates that the toastie maker is switched on and heating. When ‘Ready’ light is on, it indicates that the toastie maker has reached the correct temperature and is ready to cook.
How does the ‘High Hinge’ feature help?
The high hinge feature of the toastie maker securely holds the bread in place, preventing it from sliding or squishing out of the cooking plate. This ensures that your toasties are perfectly filled without any mess.
You no longer need to hold the bread while closing the top cooking plate, making the process much more convenient and hassle-free.
How do I clean the cooking plate after use?
Always unplug your toastie maker and allow for it to cool down before cleaning it. Never immerse the main body, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
Your toastie maker is coated with EasyClean non-stick coating (on Express Melt range) or DuraCeramic coating (on Turbo Crunch range), which can be easily and quickly wiped clean. Do not use metal or other abrasive scourer.
Can it be stored vertically?
Of course. It conveniently folds up for stand-up storage. Keep your cupboard neat with the built-in cord wrap hidden under the base.
How do I take the toasties out from the plate after cooking?
Please use heat-resistant plastic or wooden or silicone utensils when cooking or lifting food from the toastie maker.
Avoid using sharp or metal objects as these will scratch the coated surface. Do not cut food on top of the cooking plate.
Why can’t I close the lid after my bread and fillings are loaded?
If the lid is difficult to close, you may have too much filling, or your bread slices may be too thick. Do NOT force the lid closed.
Do I need to remove the sticker before use?
Yes. Please be sure to remove the sticker on top plate before first use.
There is some smoke emitted during first use, is it normal?
Yes. There might be a fine smoke haze being emitted from the unit during first use. It is due to the initial heating of the internal components.
