Sunbeam History

It takes a lot of effort to make things look effortless. But at Sunbeam they’ve been doing it for over 100 years stretching all the way back to 1910 when they imported the revolutionary Princess Electric Iron from the US, forever changing the way we do our laundry. Since then they’ve continued making a range of appliances for real people, with real needs. In 1948 they took things local, launching the revolutionary Sunbeam Mixmaster®. It was a game changer – selling more than 725,000 units in just the first ten years.

Still doing it today

Following the success of the Mixmaster®, Sunbeam turned their attention to everything from the first outdoor electric BBQ in 1985 to the first pie maker in 1993. Sunbeam created the first Home Manual Espresso Machine in 2003, ensuring our customers had access to great coffee, at home, always. And they’re not done yet.Sunbeam. Live More Effortless.
