Lasagne: A Crispy Twist on Tradition using the Sunbeam Air Fryer

Prepare to embark on this culinary adventure with a deep heatproof dish (approx. 23cm) that snugly fits into your air fryer basket.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 small finely diced onion
- 500g minced beef
- 2 cloves finely chopped garlic
- 1 tsp dried mixed herbs
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 500g jar pasta sauce
- 500g jar white sauce
- 75g cheddar, grated
- 50g Parmesan, grated
- 5-6 dried lasagne sheets
Let's Make It!
- Heat oil, sauté onion until soft, add minced beef, brown, stir in garlic and herbs.
- Add tomato puree, pour in tomato sauce, simmer for 15 minutes, season with salt and pepper, set aside.
- Spoon white sauce into the lasagne dish, sprinkle with grated cheddar and Parmesan.
- Layer lasagne sheets, cover with approximately half the meat sauce, and repeat.
- Finish with a layer of white sauce, grated cheddar, and Parmesan.
- Place the dish in the air fryer drawer, select Steam function (100c, 15 minutes).
- After the steam, select Air Fry (170c, 15 minutes), let it sit for 5 minutes to firm up before serving.
Tip: Use a foil sling for easy removal of hot bakeware. Create a cross pattern with 2 strips of folded foil in the air fryer drawer, lift the lasagne dish effortlessly once cooked.
