Kiwis Embrace Home Cooking, Vote Parmco Best Ovens Provider in New Zealand

New Zealanders are increasingly embracing the art of home cooking, a shift driven by the two-year-long pandemic experience. Many are now seeking to elevate their culinary game by investing in more advanced ovens.

Surprisingly, over 20% of us believe we have honed our baking skills during the pandemic, prompting a desire for ovens that offer self-cleaning capabilities and expanded cooking functions beyond the basics.

While a mere 6% have already made the leap to upgrade their ovens, a notable 11% have opted for self-cleaning ovens, with an additional 20% planning to do so in the near future. Furthermore, more than one in five of us are now on the lookout for ovens that boast advanced cooking features.

Another intriguing trend is the shift away from gas ovens, primarily due to environmental concerns, a movement led primarily by the younger generation. Although only 10% of us currently use gas ovens, it appears that this number will dwindle in the coming years. More than one in five individuals under the age of 30 express their intention to abandon gas ovens due to their environmental impact.

In 2022, a survey was conducted to determine the recipient of Canstar's Most Satisfied Customers | Ovens award, and the honor was bestowed upon New Zealand's own Parmco Appliances. The paramount factors driving satisfaction among customers were cooking performance and value for money, closely followed by ease of cleaning, user-friendliness, functionality, and design. Parmco secured an impressive five-star rating in overall satisfaction, cooking performance, value for money, and ease of use.
