Who is Haier?

Haier's philosophy is to design appliances for every day family life. They desire to be a trusted ally helping to make home life smarter, happier, and healthier. The fact that for over a decade Haier has been the world's number one major appliance brand and has received a number of awards for design and innovation demonstrates their brand values are working. Who makes Haier appliances?

Haier was founded in 1984 in China. It started as a small refrigerator factory and has since grown into one of the world's largest and most prominent appliance manufacturers. In 2012 Haier purchased Fisher & Paykel in New Zealand for their engineering design skill and manufacturing capabilities. While Haier appliances are made overseas, New Zealand customers can have the confidence that Fisher & Paykel stands behind the brand and they can expect the same after sales service always associated with this iconic New Zealand brand.
