  • An end grain acacia board, constructed from blocks positioned upright so the blade moves between the fibers. This is the board that endures the longest and is gentlest on an edge.

    • Sustainably sourced acacia. A richly patterned hardwood where each board features a unique design. Durable enough for frequent use, naturally antibacterial, and inherently resistant to moisture and wear.
    • End grain construction. The fibers are oriented upright, allowing the blade to pass between them rather than cutting across. The surface partially closes behind the cut, which is why end grain surpasses all others in longevity and remains gentle on knives.
    • Kinder to your knives. Wood is less harsh on a blade compared to glass or stone, helping edges maintain their sharpness for a longer time.
    • Naturally more hygienic than plastic. Wood possesses natural antibacterial qualities and does not retain the knife marks that plastic does.
    • Measures 50.5x35.5x3cm. Designed to ensure it fits well on your countertop before purchase.
    • Finished to highlight the grain. Treated to enhance the color and texture of the wood rather than conceal it under a finish.
    • Hand wash and dry. Wood should not be placed in a dishwasher, and a simple wipe down will extend the life of the board for years.
    • Oil it occasionally. A treatment of food-safe mineral oil nourishes the wood and prevents the grain from drying out. By doing this, a board like this can outlast most kitchen items.
