  • Description

The PYROCAST 25cm/3.5 Litre Camp Oven offers excellent heat retention and uniform cooking for delicious meals. Made from pre-seasoned cast iron, this camp oven features a flanged lid and a spiral carry handle, boasting a spacious 3.5 Litre capacity suitable for preparing food for family gatherings or larger groups. This robust cast iron camp oven is typically utilized over a campfire or on a grill, making it perfect for slow cooking. The flanged lid accommodates hot coals for consistent cooking, while the spiral handle facilitates easy lifting. The snug-fitting lid traps heat, ensuring that your dish remains tender and moist. With proper care and usage, this cast iron essential will endure for many years.

    Features:

    • Cast iron cookware retains heat effectively at high temperatures, making it perfect for searing, sautéing, and grilling
    • Ideal for outdoor camping
    • Best suited for grills or campfires, but also compatible with induction, ceramic, electric, and gas cooktops
    • Comes with a black patina - a pre-seasoning of oil to prevent rust
    • The seasoning process has been initiated for you to help minimize sticking during the first use of your cookware.
    • Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects and faults

    Use & care:

    • Performance enhances with each use and seasoning.
    • Prior to cooking, apply vegetable oil to the cooking surface of your pan and preheat gradually
    • Once the utensil is adequately preheated, you are set to cook
    • A low to medium heat setting is adequate for most cooking tasks
    • A coating of vegetable oil is particularly suitable for cast iron cookware when frying or searing. It helps maintain the excellent heat conduction properties of cast iron and protects the cookware from rust
    • Avoid washing this cookware in the dishwasher. Dishwashing will strip the seasoning and lead to rust
    • After cooking, clean your pan using a nylon brush or sponge and hot water. Dry it immediately with a towel and apply a light layer of oil while it is still warm
    • Store in a cool, dry location
    • Never place a hot cast iron pan into cold water, as thermal shock can cause the pan to warp or crack
    • Cast iron becomes extremely hot during use; always use oven mitts or pot holders to handle your cookware
    • Wash cast iron by hand with a nylon brush or sponge and hot water. If necessary, use a pan scraper for any stuck-on food. A small amount of detergent can be used, but excessive detergent may wear away the seasoning, especially if the pan is not fully seasoned.
    • For particularly stubborn residue, simmer a little water for 1 minute, then use the scraper after it has cooled. Dry thoroughly and promptly with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
    • Apply a very light layer of cooking oil while the cookware is still warm to protect it from rust. Hang or store cookware in a dry area.
    • The surface of the cookware is not impervious, so do not wash it in the dishwasher as it will damage the seasoning and lead to rust.
